TJ Pettrey
SKILLJOY Program Lead (1st-2nd Boys)
Coach TJ has over 15 years of youth soccer coaching experience in Central Kentucky. TJ has coached almost every age group from U4 to U19, focusing on technical development and individual player growth. For several years, TJ ran his own club as a subsidiary of Kings Hammer. In that role he expanded access to many kids previously unable to join the local club soccer scene. TJ leads every session with energy and attention to detail, fostering a love of the game in young players.
As a player, TJ won multiple state championships as a member of the West Virginia Rowdies. He was a four year starter in high school, and played collegiately at Emory and Henry. TJ also made the Louisville Courier-Journal honorable mention all-state team as a placekicker in football. He currently holds a USSF āDā license.
TJ has worked at UK Healthcare since 2010, and is currently a Quality Improvement Specialist in the Performance Services department. In that role he uses process improvement and data analytics to improve outcomes for patients across the state of Kentucky.
