Tryout Flow:

• FORMAT: Players will take part in training drills and evaluation scrimmages. We will specifically evaluate players looking to play keeper (indicate this on your form). Depending upon the number of players in attendance a 2nd round evaluation may be necessary, we will notify families by Monday, May 18th if your child is invited to a 2nd round.

• AFTER: We will contact families by Thursday/Friday, May 21/22nd with final decisions and team invitations. You are not obligated to play if your child is asked to join the competitive team.

• Notes: If your child cannot attend either time slot indicate this on the registration form. We will reach out to arrange an alternate evaluation time.

About the Competitive Team:

• Practices are held 1x/week + 1x/week small-sided scrimmage event to further develop 1v1 to 4v4 tight space skills, Learn More

• Practices and home games will be played at our Trident F.C. Soccer Complex: 800 E. Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356

• Team selection is for both Fall’26 and Spring’27. We will offer an optional winter indoor/futsal league (requires incremental purchase) along with optional winter training opportunities.

• Teams will participate in the KPL or the KSSL based upon team skill level. There is no commitment to tournaments upfront and is left to the individual coach/team once the season is underway (tournament admission fee is incremental).

• While we aim to minimize travel, games could be scheduled up to 1.5 hours away. In such cases, we will help coordinate ride-sharing if needed.

Most Importantly:

All players will still have a spot with Trident Football Club regardless if your child is placed on the competitive team.
