Trident F.C. Tryouts
Competive Team TryOuts
We are pleased to announce an opportunity to tryout for our Trident F.C. competitive teams for Fall’26 and Spring’27. While this is a tryout, we will be presenting it to the players as a skills-based training session, focused on fun and development. From our end, we will not use the word "tryout" to keep the experience positive and pressure-free. It is up to each family to decide whether to share with your child that this is part of a team selection process.

U9 Boy Tryouts: Must be born after August 1st, 2017
U11 Boy Tryouts: Must be born after August 1st, 2015
WHERE: Trident Fields - 800 E. Brannon Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356
WHEN:
1st Round Tryouts: U9 Tryouts Sunday, May 17 3–5PM | U11 Tryouts Sunday, May 17 5–7PM
2nd Round Tryouts (Tentative): U9 Tryouts Tuesday, May 19 6–7:30PM | U11 Tryouts Tuesday, May 19 6–7:30PM
HOW: You must register your child on the form below to participate in the tryouts.
FORMAT: Players will take part in training drills and evaluation scrimmages. We will also specifically evaluate players looking to play keeper (indicate this on your form). Depending upon the number of players in attendance there might be a 2nd round. If this is the case we will notify families by Monday, May 18th if your child is invited to the 2nd Round.
AFTER: We will contact families by Thursday, May 21st with our final decisions and team invitations. You are not obligated to play if your child is asked to join the competitive team.
Notes: If your child cannot attend either time slot indicate this on the registration form. We will reach out to arrange an alternate evaluation time.
About the Competitive Team:
Practices are held 1x/week + a weekly drop in small-sided scrimmage to further develop 1v1 and tight space skills. Location and time is TBD.
While we aim to minimize travel, occasional games could be scheduled up to 1.5 hours away (this is out of our control). In such cases, we will help coordinate ride-sharing if needed.
Most Importantly:
All players will still have a spot with Trident Football Club regardless if your child is placed on the competitive team. We are thrilled to have each and every player as part of Trident F.C. and look forward to an exciting season ahead!
