U10 Boys Tryouts for Fall 2025 - - Register Below

We are excited to say that our U10 boys’ age group has grown significantly. In the past, we selected players for our competitive team based on coach familiarity, but with the increase in numbers, we are pleased to announce an opportunity to tryout for our U10 boys’ competitive team. This is open to ALL players born in 2016 or 2017. While this is a tryout, we will be presenting it to the players as a skills-based training session, focused on fun and development. From our end, we will not use the word "tryout" to keep the experience positive and pressure-free. It is up to each family to decide whether to share with your child that this is part of a team selection process.

Logistics:

• WHO: Players born in 2016 or 2017 considering to play on our competitive team

• WHERE: 3900 Rapid Run Drive, Lexington, KY 40515

• WHEN:

  • Option 1: Thursday, May 22 | 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Option 2: Thursday, May 22 | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

• HOW: You must register your child on the form below to participate in the tryouts.

• FORMAT: Players will take part in training drills and a short evaluation scrimmage. We will also specifically evaluate players looking to play keeper (indicate this on your form).

• AFTER: We will contact families in the weeks following with our final decisions and team invitations. You are not obligated to play if your child is asked to join the competitive team.

• Notes: If your child cannot attend either time slot indicate this on the registration form. We will reach out to arrange an alternate evaluation time.

About the Competitive Team:

• Practices are held 1x/week. Location and time is TBD.

• Ideally all games will be played against other select teams in the greater area. That said, while we aim to minimize travel, occasional games could be scheduled up to 1.5 hours away (this is out of our control). In such cases, we will help coordinate ride-sharing if needed.

• There is no additional cost to be part of the competitive team.

Most Importantly:

All players will still have a spot with Trident Football Club regardless if your child is placed on the competitive team or not. We are thrilled to have each and every player as part of Trident F.C. and look forward to an exciting season ahead!
